Walk through an historic cemetery before journeying on snow packed trails to see a picturesque frozen waterfall. Locally known as the ice caves, your Yellowknife guide will drive to the one of the walking trail access points to Yellowknife’s earliest cemetery. From here you will follow a winding path between trees and rocks to the frozen waterfalls in the midst of a typical Taiga valley. Although best viewed towards the end of winter when they are at the largest, they are picturesque throughout their entire formation. You’ll want to be sure to bring your camera. Total time for this tour is approximately 2 hours in length. Hot beverage and homemade cookie provided.
