MY BACKYARD TOURS – WHATÌ
Whati is situated on the third largest lake, Lac La Martre, in the NWT and the location offers guests a pristine and untouched environment to view the Aurora Borealis, while you can also enjoy an uninterrupted view of the beautiful scenery of the Lac La Martre lake. Guests can sit back and relax in a comfortable vehicle (small group sizes of 2-6 people) while we embark on a picturesque 3 hour (250km) drive from Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories.

MEET THE TEAM
SHAUN MOOSENOSE – CULTURAL EXPERIENCES SUPERVISOR
Shaun was born and raised in the Tłı̨chǫ community of Whatì and is passionate about the tourism industry, on-the-land lifestyle and experiences this tour package brings to his home community. Shaun excels at organizing and leading groups of people, is a hard worker and ensures that safety and comfort are the top priorities when hosting guests on Tłı̨chǫ lands. Fluent in both English and Tłı̨chǫ, guests can expect that Shaun will teach guests a few new words while in Whatì!
STEPHEN LEGGE – CULTURAL LIAISON
Stephen is a long-term resident of Whatì with previous experiences in the tourism industry as a guide. As the Cultural Liaison, Stephen will work alongside the Supervisor to ensure that on-the-land experiences that blend breathtaking landscapes with authentic Indigenous experiences are prepared and ready to go for the guests’ enjoyment.
